Data Masking Tools 2.4.1.0 Release – SDDT & SSIS Components Updates

The 2.4.1.0 release delivers updates and fixes for two main parts of the product:

Sensitive Data Discovery Tool (SDDT) – improved interface behavior and stability.

SSIS Data Masking Components – bug fixes and editor improvements across several components.

This release also adds support for the MSOLEDBSQL driver to ensure compatibility with Microsoft SQL Server 2022.

Enhancements

Sensitive Data Discovery Tool (SDDT)

Improved “Select All” checkbox behavior

Fixed inconsistent selection behavior for schemas and tables.

Added a third (partially selected) checkbox state, displayed when only some items are selected.

Support for the new OLE DB driver (MSOLEDBSQL)

Added support for MSOLEDBSQL alongside the existing SQL Server Native Client.

When both drivers are installed, MSOLEDBSQL is preferred.

If only Native Client is present, it is shown in the Diagnostic window with status Installed (Deprecated) and continues to work normally.

SSIS Data Masking Components

Custom Properties

Updated descriptions for component Custom Properties to make configuration more intuitive and self-explanatory.

Rollup Component Editors (Data, Number, String)

Added an internal converter to prevent XML structures from appearing in custom editors.

The editors now display readable values instead of XML markup.

Bug Fixes

Sensitive Data Discovery Tool (SDDT)

Modal windows

Fixed an issue where popup windows could appear behind the main window.

All modal windows now correctly appear on top of other windows.

Error “The calling thread must be STA” during package generation

Fixed incorrect error reporting when multiple exceptions occurred during package generation.

The actual exception message is now displayed instead of the STA threading error.

SSIS Data Masking Components

Masking VIN Component

Fixed the regular expression used for VIN validation and masking.

Rollup Components (Date and Number)

Fixed incorrect column order when exporting data to CSV files.
