"Embedded Dictionary"

Purpose

The purpose of the Embedded Dictionary component is to create a custom dictionary of values for later use in the Dictionary Substitution component.

Algorithm

While none of the data masking algorithms are applicable, Embedded Dictionary simply retrieves a data set from the indicated source and makes it available via Object type variable.

Embedded Dictionary component.

Usage Instructions:

1. Load embedded dictionary from the solutions menu to call up the component.
2. Click on Mask Embedding Dictionary Substitution Component.
3. Once you click on the component, a new window will appear. Under Custom Properties, select Dictionary.
4. A table will appear. Create a new column by adding a column name in the empty field and click “Add.”.
5. In your new column, add the new values you would like to have available for substitution. Also, you can import your existing .CSV file with your data.
6. Delete the columns you no longer need.
7. In the Input column, select the custom input you would like to mask.
8. Specify the Input Column in Custom Properties.
9. In the Components menu, select your Destination and map to Input Column.
10. Click Start to Run your Component. All your input data has been successfully mapped using embedded dictionary.
