Generic Numeric Dynamic
Description
|
The Generic Numeric Dynamic component replaces numeric values with other numeric values. It only masks strings that contain numeric characters, ensuring they are replaced with corresponding numeric characters. This component maintains consistency in masking and preserves the uniqueness of the dataset. |
Usage Instructions:

1. Set up a source that includes a column containing numeric characters.

2. Drag and drop the Generic Numeric Dynamic masking component. Connect the source to the Generic Numeric Dynamic data masking component using the source's precedence constraint:

3. The precedence constraint (the blue arrow) now passes the appropriate metadata to the Generic Numeric Dynamic component. If you click on the constraint, you can view the metadata being passed;

4. Open the component editor:

|
5. In the Input Columns tab, select only the columns you want to mask using the Generic Numeric Dynamic algorithm:

6. The component will create an additional column with the prefix Masked_: 
+
|
|
7. Create a Connection Manager for the destination. Configure the Source component for the destination.

|
8. All configurations for valid values are now complete. You can run the package with the Generic Numeric Dynamic data masking component and view the masked results in the Destination component by clicking the Preview button.
