Installation Steps

Requesting and Installing a Trial Version 

We have provided an easy request form for the trial version of the SDDT on our product page and via the "Request" menu option accessible from anywhere on the site. Simply fill in the form and click on the button. We will email you the trial of the latest release promptly. 

The trial version is valid for one week, after which it will indicate that the trial period has expired. Please note that the trial version may have limited features and serves only to familiarize you with the components. The production version of the component will contain complete functionality. 

1. Prerequisites

   1. Prerequisites for Sensitive Discovery Tool
      To use the Sensitive Discovery Tool, you should have:
      Operating System: Windows 8.1, Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016, Visual Studio 2017, Visual Studio 2019 or Visual Studio 2022 with installed SSDT BI.
      SQL Server: MS SQL Server 2016, 2017, 2019, 2022 with installed SSIS.
      Connectors for Oracle, MySQL, IBM DB2 and DB2 Client (Optional).
      Hush-Hush SSIS Components (Required for generation packages).
      .NET Framework v4.6.2, v4.7.2 or above

2. Install HushHush Sensitive Discovery Tool

   1. After downloading the archive, unzip it and run the installation file "HushHush_v2.4.0.msi"
   2. In the setup wizard window press “Next”
   3. Read and accept the license agreement and then press “Next”
   4. Select installation type.
      • Typical: Installs the most common program features.
      • Custom: Allows you to select which features will be installed.
      • Complete: Installs all program features.

   If you prefer a custom installation, select "Custom" and choose the features you would like to install.

   

   5. After choosing the installation type, press "Next"
   6. Press "Install"
   7. Allow application to make changes on your computer
   8. Click "Finish" to finish the installation

3. To verify that the tool works correctly, follow the steps in the next section (Connecting to the source and destination) to connect to your database.

4. Install connectors (32 & 64 bit) for the Oracle database website, ODACx64, ODACx32 (Optional)

5. Install ODBC version 8.0.33 (32 & 64 bit) and .NET connectors for the MySQL database ODBC_x32&x64; .NET connector (Optional)

6. Install provider and client for the DB2 LUW database website (Optional)

7. Registering a license (for this step HushHush SSIS Components should be installed)

Our licenses are bound to a specific hardware configuration. To get your hardware ID, open folder C:\Program Files (x86)\HushHush\SSIS\Tools and run “HushHushLicenser.exe”. Copy the generated Hardware ID and send it to info@mask-me.net

After purchasing a license, you will receive a special key file, which should be placed in the following directory: C:\ProgramData\HushHush
