The Sensitive Data Discovery Tool creates a .ssdtproj file — a project that stores information about the connected source and destination, the source database schema, and the selected masking algorithms.
In case you need to close the tool but want to return to the analyzed databases later, you can save the project. This will allow you to save the previously connected database and any configurations you have set up for individual tables. To do this, click "File" and "Save Project".
And then you can select the path to save your file:
When you need to return to a saved project, click "File" and then "Load Project", this will load your saved project and you can continue working.
Go to the directory where you saved the project and click "Open".
Suppose changes occur in the source database schema after saving the project. In that case, the Sensitive Data Discovery Tool will detect them during the next project load, and the saved schema will be updated.
If any issues occur during the database analysis, a recovery function allows you to
continue analyzing from the point where it was interrupted. After a crash or any interruption, the
next time you open the Discovery tool, an "Incomplete Analysis" pop-up will appear, prompting
you to restore the analysis. Click "Yes" to continue analyzing your databases.
Once the recovery is complete, the analysis will resume and finish using the same source and
destination that wasconfigured before the interruption.
