When you click the Export Results button, the tool creates a CSV file that includes metadata for all detected sensitive data within the current project and its configured connections. This feature is particularly useful for auditing, documentation, and planning purposes—even if you do not intend to proceed with data masking. The functionality is available even if the SSIS is not installed and user does not plan to mask the data.
The exported CSV file contains the following information for each identified sensitive column:
Source Metadata | Destination Metadata | Additional Info |
---|---|---|
Schema name | Destination schema | Algorithmic rank |
Table name | Destination table | |
Column name | Destination column | |
Data type | Selected algorithm | |
PII data type |
This metadata captures both the original data structure and the planned masking strategy, making it valuable for:
Even if you do not use the components, but want to discover Sensitive data, and save for future use, you can utilize the tool. Please note that if the components are not installed, the button “Generate Package” will not be enabled. Clicking on the button “Export Results” uploads the results of the search on the current database into the csv file.
You can select the path to save your file:
The screenshot below shows the resulting output in the file. The file includes rank field that has a quantitative probability of determining the algorithm of the column based on our patent-pending method.
